Beech Architects is currently developing proposals for this mixed-use office development in Framlingham, Suffolk.
The scheme provides both office and residential accommodation via an extension to an existing office unit with 3 No. residential units to first floor and large open plan office space to the ground floor area.
The extension is a contemporary addition to an existing building which has had a number of ad-hoc extensions overs the years. These previous bolt-ons are to be removed and a new unified approach taken with the upgraded building.
The scheme also provides a new welcoming visitor entrance, thermal upgrade of the external walls using an insulated render system, additional parking and landscaping.
The extension will provide an additional 32 desk spaces for office use. The side extension forms the dominant addition and has a green roof system providing a wildflower meadow mix topping to soften the flat roof form and enhance biodiversity on the site.
The proposals are currently under consideration with the planning authority.
